“BJP’s expansion in south and east is going on. After Lok Sabha elections in 2024, BJP will be in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. BJP will be in more than two-third states where it was not there till now. By 2029, BJP it will be everywhere in the country,” said Sarma.
Sarma also said that the Citizenship (Amendment) Act is part of the BJP’s promise, “part of our thinking. Like the CAA, you will also see the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) coming”.

According to Sarma, 75 is a good age when one thinks of doing other things for the party.

Taking a dig at his former Congress counterpart, Sarma said, “The whole world admires PM Modi. I see PM Modi as an inspiration. They see Congress as a must.”

“Prime Minister Modi is every prime minister. There should be a very good relationship between the chief ministers and the prime minister. Mamata has recently spoken highly of PM Modi. I will not read too much into it. as they will not join the BJP,” said the BJP leader.

Sarma said that in the West Bengal assembly elections, the BJP is close to winning 100 seats (since they lost several seats very close). “Bengal, Odisha and Telangana are our next targets. “The end has not yet been reached. It will be achieved by 2029, he said.

“There are many good people in the Congress. I think the Congress leaders who voted for Shashi Tharoor in the party’s presidential election will soon join the BJP,” Sarma attacked the Congress.
