Midtown Atlanta shooting: Suspect indicted on felony murder, aggravated assault charges – WSB-TV Channel 2 | Media Pyro

ATLANTA – A suspect has been charged in a shooting in midtown Atlanta that killed two people and wounded another.

Police say 34-year-old Raisa Kenne shot three people at the 1280 West condos and an office building at 110 Peachtree Street. Two of the injured, Michael Shiners and Wesley Freeman, died of their injuries. Another victim, Michael Horne, was recently released from the hospital.

Fulton County court records show Kenne was indicted Nov. 4 on the following charges: murder (two counts), murder (two counts), assault with a deadly weapon (five counts), false imprisonment and attempted robbery in the first degree during the commission of a felony. Possession of a firearm (count three).

According to the indictment, the two assault charges stemmed from Kenke firing shots at a fourth victim, who was not injured.

After the shooting, Keng hailed a cab Atlanta Checker Cab to pick her up at a hotel and take her to a house on Robin Hood Road NE in Ansley Park. The driver said he was told it was his lawyer’s house. He said no one came to the door and Kengne returned to his cab.

An address matching the home was listed in the charge sheet related to the attempted burglary. According to the indictment, Kagne intended to remain inside and commit “aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.”

From there, the driver said, Kenne requested a ride to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Kenne was arrested at the international terminal by ATF agents and ATF task force personnel.

The indictment did not paint a clear picture of Kenne’s possible motive in the shooting. However, A The federal lawsuit showed a possible connection between her and the victims.

Channel 2 tracked her social media pages, including her LinkedIn profile. She indicated that she worked at the accounting firm BDO until November 2021 and was the scene of a shooting at 1100 Peachtree Street where the victim, Wesley Freeman, was killed.

Kenne, in his LinkedIn post, referred to Freeman as “the laziest manager I’ve ever had the pleasure of working for.”

Freeman is one of about a dozen people listed in a 600-page federal lawsuit filed by Kenne earlier this year.

In the lawsuit, Kenne said he faced “retaliation, harassment, harassment, intimidation, threats, robbery and computer hacking” after noticing a “serious deficiency” in an audit.

The lawsuit indicates Kenne lived at 1280 West Peachtree, the same location where she shot two people, including Michael Shiners, who is listed in the lawsuit.

Kengne alleged that BDO and others listed in the lawsuit “allowed unauthorized persons to trespass into the plaintiff’s home.”

Case dismissed.
