The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating two teenagers in connection with a house party shooting in the unincorporated Covina area that left two people dead and two others injured over Halloween weekend.

LASD officials said the shooting happened at 12:25 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, in the 17000 block of East Bellbrook Street, near the intersection of East Lark Ellen Avenue.

When first responders arrived, one victim was pronounced dead at the scene and three others were transported to the hospital by paramedics. Authorities later identified the victim as 20-year-old Ronnie Benitez, who died at the scene, and the other victim died at the hospital.

According to homicide investigators, at least one of the partygoers pulled out a handgun, opened fire and left the scene.

LASD investigators have identified Joel Daniel Garcia and Brian Thomas Ramos, 19, as the suspects wanted in connection with the shooting. Garcia is 6-foot-1, 160 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Ramos is listed at 5-foot-10 and weighs about 145, according to the LASD.

Both suspects are armed and dangerous.
