Philadelphia police are investigating a triple shooting in West Philadelphia that left one woman seriously injured and two other women recovering.

The shooting happened in the 5200 block of Webster Street around 7 p.m. Friday, officials said.

Philadelphia Police Inspector DF Pace said officers from the 18th District responded to the address on a report of a shooting.

They found three women with gunshot wounds, and police took all three to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

According to Inspector Pace, two of the women had non-life-threatening injuries, while a third woman, aged 28, was shot multiple times and is in critical condition.

Police are actively searching the scene of the major crime but say no weapons have been recovered.
